Volunteering as a tutor with Action Tutoring
Pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds aren’t less able, but they have less access to the tools that support them to progress in school and reach their full academic potential.
Volunteering as a tutor with Action Tutoring is a rewarding way to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people living in your community.
By volunteering for just one hour a week, either in-school or online, you will directly support disadvantaged pupils to build their confidence and help ensure they leave school with the grades needed to build a bright future.
What are the steps to becoming involved?
You’ll receive an application outcome within 1-2 working days. If successful, we’ll invite you to a two-hour training session, held over Zoom. We’ll then process a DBS check for you.
Once processed, we’ll send you a programme sign-up link. This will list all programmes available to sign up to at that given time. You’ll be able to choose the day, time and location that best suits you.
